Great Purchase
My family and I go up to the Yellowstone area every year and enjoy looking for wolves and bears. This year I decided to do like the professionals and buy a spotting scope. I found a highly rated one on Amazon, but then I stumbled on these binoculars. While the scope was good, the binoculars were amazing.
The main advantage of a scope is that it holds still so you can see the animals. The problem is sometimes people bump the scope with their eyes thus moving and it and inconveniently the animals decide to move as well.
With these binoculars the wide field of view makes it easy to find the animals and with image stabilization there is no problem seeing them clearly.
Needless to say, the scope was returned but I kept the binoculars. If I were a little richer I would have the gotten the 12x model. With most binoculars increased power just means increased shake, but with the image stabilization that shouldn’t be a problem.

Exellent tool for international traveller
I bought this scale to weight my suitcases before I travel. I always travel with maximum weight allowed, this lets me pack my suitcases to the maximum weight allowed in peace and quite at home. Prior to this I would use a personal scale, which was not very accurate, and often I would have to repack my suitcase at the airport, which was rather inconvenient. This is little marvel.

very good reel for a very good price
Growing up, my father always purchased Zebco 33’s because those are just good reels. I broke with the Zebco tradition when I purchased this reel as MY first reel six years ago. I use it for catching catfish, bream and white perch (crappie/sac au lait). The reel casts incredibly smoothly. In fact, I’ve had very-seasoned fishermen express surprise at how smoothly it casts.
I don’t take very good care of my reel, so I recently pulled it to pieces to clean and oil it. It was very easy to put back together and works like a charm now that it’s got clean oil in it.
Using this reel, I find that I have very good control in my casting which is important when fishing for bream or white perch. If I ever have to pitch my old reel, I won’t hesitate to buy another one.

My Abu-Garcia 6500-C3 has been going strong for over 15 years now without any problems. It’s just as strong and smooth as the day I bought it.
The reel is built with quality, durability, and ruggedness in mind. Handling it lets you know that you’re holding a reel that won’t let you down. I’ve winched in some huge channel cats on this reel without any problems. It handles everything from light monofilament to heavy braids with equal ease. Casting is smooth and trouble free so long as you do your part, and retrieval is just as smooth.
The only area of improvement that the reel could use is to upgrade the drag discs. Though the drag is fairly smooth, it could use some extra smoothing out and more hold when cranked all the way down. This is not a big deal as upgraded drag discs are readily available, and it’s best to change out the drag washers every year or two anyways.
